About Zama Travel

Zama Travel is a Cancún-based technology platform. We operate the booking, payment, dispatch and communication layer that connects travellers with a network of validated, licensed private transport companies across Quintana Roo — from Cancún International Airport (CUN) to the Hotel Zone, Playa del Carmen, Tulum, Puerto Morelos, Akumal and beyond.

We are not a transport operator ourselves. The physical service is delivered by Mexican transport companies that hold the permits required by the Secretaría de Infraestructura, Comunicaciones y Transportes (SICT) and/or the Instituto de Movilidad del Estado de Quintana Roo (IMOVEQROO). Our role is to match your booking with a carrier that has the right vehicle, driver and coverage for your route, handle the payment securely, and keep you informed end-to-end.

Zama operates as a booking intermediary for pre-booked, fixed-route private transfers — not a ride-hailing app, not a taxi service, and not a "digital-platform private transport" service under Art. 148 Quáter of the Ley de Movilidad del Estado de Quintana Roo.

1. You book. Choose route, date, vehicle class and passengers. Price is quoted in USD with MXN equivalence. Payment is processed via Mercado Pago (cards, SPEI, OXXO).
2. We dispatch. The booking is dispatched to a pre-validated carrier that holds federal or state transport permits, commercial liability insurance, and trained bilingual drivers.
3. They drive. The carrier monitors your flight, meets you at arrivals with a sign bearing your name, and takes you to your destination. You receive driver details 2 hours before pickup.
4. We support. Our bilingual support team is available 24/7 via WhatsApp and email to handle flight changes, cancellations, refunds and any incident during your trip.

Before a transport company joins the Zama network, we verify:

• Federal permit (SICT): Autotransporte Federal de Pasajeros or Transporte Turístico Federal, for any route touching Cancún International Airport or federal highways.
• State concession (IMOVEQROO): tourist-transport concession under the Ley de Movilidad del Estado de Quintana Roo and its Reglamento de Transporte Turístico, for intra-state routes.
• Commercial passenger-liability insurance: in force, covering passengers and third-party damage (policy number on file with Zama).
• Annual vehicle inspection (revista vehicular): current, where applicable to the permit category.
• Vehicle condition: model year ≤ 6, mechanical inspection and clean interior.
• Driver licensing: federal licence type E (passenger) or C (tourist), or the state equivalent for tourist transport.
• Bilingual capability: Spanish / English driver program on airport runs.
• Service-level agreement with Zama: punctuality, flight monitoring, communication, incident reporting.

Carriers are reviewed quarterly against booking feedback, on-time performance and incident reports.
